Hi Skip,

That sure is coming along good. I like the amount of trunk space you will have. You should be getting your axles back pretty soon if they're getting cut already. It won't be too long you're getting it together so fast this time you might be ridin this winter.

Take Care and enjoy the build and Ride On!!!

Got the low areas filled with mat & added mat to the trunk lid & around the edges.
Thursday I get to do the floor, then all  the grinding to get ready for the body work.
We will be getting some COLD weather over the weekend so it's good timing.

Thank you, it's been a long road.
I do dream of it & sometimes have nightmares.
Thinking about it at night of what still needs to be done or redone without getting ahead if it & screwing it up more.
Today I get to lay the floor down which I wanted to do a long time ago.
Glad I waited as it made other work alot easier to get to.

This morning was able to lay the floor on the inside with 2 layer.
Waited about 2 1/2" hours to cure, then flipped the body over.
Remove the hardboard which I had sprayed release on & will put 2 more layer on the bottom.
Add a little reinforcement to some areas & I think the fiberglassing is FINISH.
Next will be to trim the wheel openings & grinding to the basic shape before the bodywork start.

Body will be getting ready for body work now.
Haven't gotten the axle or control arms cut yet.
Can't find a good machine shop around here.
Will body work & primer body & make the new mold for it.
Will pop out my trike body.
Will need to make a mold for the larger trunk as will as for the trunk lid.

May be out in sunny CA around Xmas again.
Will let you know & we can do lunch!

Those pictures of the three bodies together was quite nice....You have come a long way from a busted body to the ones you have turned out.....My old 1100's wouldn't pull that much weight, but one day not in the too distant future, I know my old legs won't be able to "lift" my wings so triking out one would be my only other option...That is if I don't just sell them and give up riding all together.....That's my second option.....Not much going on here, I have way too many "projects" going on to devote the time to any one of them.....

First I have my old 86 Ford Areostar, I did buy another complete van, in far better condition than mine..Found out why it went to the salvage yard, Cracked heads, ran hot....My 86 engine only has 78.000 on it so I'll be switching out engines.....But like I said in another post this 86 did belong to a very dear friend and I really don't want to see it mashed....

So here's what I have been thinking and its ALL your fault!!!!!...Been looking at maybe rebuilding that blown engine, find a standard transmission, etc...and cut the top off of my 86 and make it onto the "only" 1986 Ford Areosrtar pickup in existence????.... I'll be doing some Fiberglass, so I guess I better get used to "itching" like crazy....:cheeky1::cheeky1:....Yes I will take pictures if this is what I finally decide to do....Now if I can find my mig welder I hid in my garage??????

Great looking job ........

Claude.....

Finally stared to cut the axle & lower controls on the Jag rear end.
Taking forever to go though the axle.
Will be removing 5.75" from each piece.

Here I'm machine down a thick wall pipe to fit inside the control arm of the Jag.
Couldn't find a pipe to fit inside so had to get a thicker wall pipe.
Need to remove about a 1/4" of of it.
Able to remove .0030 cut on this but gets to hot & need to let it cool off.

Didn't know you had a lathe hid in that garage.........Of course your garage and mine have a lot in common.....There's always that something I saved for use later, and I can't find it when I need it....Don't own a metal lathe, just a wood lathe and its kinda hard to turn metal on it.....;)...Looking great guy....

The Lathe, JET Drill/Mill ,Drill Press & CNC custom build large ( 50" x 91") router Table are in the basement.
That's why they aren't all white with fiberglass dust.

Pictures of a small CNC Table to cut PC Board sitting on the large one.

Early picture of the head on the large CNC Table

You are just moving right along with that build. That's a great idea to keep the axles straight so you can get a good weld and everything will be balanced.

Keep up the great work.
