Srry, I have been busy looking at a couple of your other shots, which waylaid me from getting to mentioning how "easyrider", this looks. Front end looks cool and comfortable, rear looks teeth jarring!!

Thanks for that! Yep, but the rear was rough. Had only 15 lbs of air in the REAR tire, but it made that front end really work. Also, when I put on the front brake, the bike rose up in the front, instead of diving. That was neat...
Glad you like my other shots too. ;-)

The forks were extended only 6 inches longer than stock and bolted in the same mounts on the tree. Drove 37,000 miles with no problems before buying my first wing in '75, including a run to Niagra Falls from Cal and back through Canada. That was a good engine. Lots of us in those days ran extended forks, kinda the norm around here in Orange County. Never any oil problems. That was 35 years ago.

Yea, at the time I know some bonnieville rider that did the same. My Bonnie was a '71, which I bought in '74...I put it in a '68 frame, bolt-on Sante hardtail, but kept the stock sliders. I was low, but level. 'Course, back then I also know a bunch of guys that were building pan/shovels with fully stretched and raked frames and moderately extended frontends of various types. That was in Santa Barbara.

You do? I am wondering who you are? If you remember that, it would be fun to talk about the old days with you.
PM me, if you do not want to publish your name.
