How hard did you have the screwdriver wedged in the single cut? I found I REALLY had to pound it in there - and make sure it stays in there when you hit the other end.

i hit it in with a splitting ax and then hit it good but it kept blowing the screw driver out and wasted the threads

Thats why I used the cross meathod with a punch. tap punch in really snug then snug bolt to bearing and then tap punch into bolt a little more and you should be able to pop the bearing right out.

thanks for the great advice and all .. the rear wheel is on and turning ,all systems are go 3...2...1...

Great News glad you got it goingnow you did clean and inspect that drive flange and re lube it with moly60 while you had the rear tire off didn't you
