When i was looking for the 8 ga wire I was at NAPA and asked where I might find it. A customer was standing there and said I hae some at home. If you want to follow me I'll give you some. He cut off about 12 feet way more than I asked for. He then put a connector on it and gave me 3 more connectors. Said to let him see my project when it was complete.

If anyone needs 8 ga( I really think it is a smaller gauge) 6 ga maybe--anyway if anyone needs my extra wire it is all yours. Just let me know.

Sounds like you guys are doinf well with your own projects, sorry I havnt been here much lately, I have been distracted by my new toy (97 1500SE).
Yes Beave I did use blue loctite for all bolts on final assembly,a habit from my HD days. I wash all threads down with brake clean first.

On the new style tensioner Ibent the redi-rod (all thread) in a curve to follow the path of the alternator during adjustment and put a bent forward to counter the angle of the frame where it clamps on.

Bob, keep us posted on those 7" fans you found, they should have plenty of CFM to do the job.

One does 1550 cfm, so I think 1 will do! Just haven't decieded where to put it, front or back!!Since I got my new (they claim it's a 2" pulley) I put it on and had to move the alt. back a littleabout 1/4" and the alt. bracket foward or the alt. would hit the intake elbows!! Here's a picafter I remounted it!!!But I'm having fun!! Later Bob

Well Guys, 1 fan destroyed! I tried to make her fit on the inside, did a lot of modifications but would still hit the fan!!! So I put the other one on the front which I should have done in the first place. I still have to put anti-freeze in and connect the fan. So here's some pic's to show my progress!!Enjoy, Bob
