Okay...The starting circuit, When starting a cold engine and fully opened "Choke" this will explain the white smoke and heavy fumes from exhaust till warm and choke closed ??
Just re-built both carbs on 93 SE wing model & it was doing the same B-4 re-build. I guess this is the norm ?

hey guys,
Maybe someone can help with 2 problems that I am having with my 1980 wing and with 1981 wing of a friend.
We'll start with my bike , bench synchronised carbs, float level 15.5 mm. pilot jet 1.5 turns... the problem is at cruising 3000-5000 it is surging like not getting enough fuel.On full throttle it rides great????????????
The other bike was bought from a guy after the bike stood for 4 years with no storage precautions. The new owner tried to clean the carbs himself. Thereafter started the problems
1) flooding of the carbs
2) no starting
I replaced the needle & seat ( NOT CHINESE)
SET 15.5 MM, PILOTS AT 1.5 TURNS
synchronised on the bench
air cut off diaphragms replaced
the problems are
1 - won't idle,
2 - won't run without choke fully out
ANY HELP WILL BE HIGHLY APPRECIATED
Thanks
