Here is a short video clip showing how I test the charging output on a four-cylinder Goldwing stator;


I didn't do the continuity check, just the output check. If continuity is broken it will still result in a low reading when you check the output.

FYI, beware using this test. I tested one this way and it showed a bad stator to be good. I think it probably depends on whether the stator is shorted to ground or has an open circuit.
