I was reading that page on how to pull the gl1200 engine and seen some other useful information that could be copied into forum postings. There is a lot of extra information in those articles that only becomes obvious after we read them.

FI the timing belt/camshaft sprockets setup is something that Goldwing owners often get confused on.
I plucked these pictures off that engine removal page. I hope this is okay to do.

If you look at the last picture there is another mark that can and often is be confused with the proper one.
Good pictures, they should be helpful to someone.

That lower mark does sometimes cause confusion. I will move this into the Reference forum.

That was good thinking Bootwing. Maybe some of those other how-to pages could be broken up into more how-to's. FI the engine removal page also shows how to remove the radiator, timing belts, tank shelter and probably more. They could all be made into more how-to pages.
