Hello, I'm a sidecarist that has just recently purchased a '93
Aspencade with a Hannigan Astro 2+2 sidecar. I've been a sidecarist
since the summer of 1995 driving a 750 than a 1100 Virago with a
Bingham MarkIII sidecar. Driven 20,000 miles so far. Got into
sidecars because my mentally handicapped son all 6'3" 260 lbs wanted to
ride on my motorcycle. No way was I going to let him sit behind me.
And the rest is history.

Which brings me to now. Wanting to hear from some other sidecarist
that may have gone to a more flatter tread profile on the 18" front
tire. What are they using? On the Viragos, I went with a Avon Triple
Duty Sidecar tire and it worked great but it only comes in a 19".

I'll be bothering others with stupid questions concerning the Gold Wing
later.

Welcome to the home of the greatest Gold Wingers in the world! Not a sidecarist myself but will gladly answer any question you ask. I may not always know the answer but that's never stopped me before, hehehe.
