I just purchased an '83 GL1100I which some would seem like a step in the wrong direction. I bought it for friends and family to ride when they drop by because they were starting to make comments about me putting them on my 1976 CB750K while I rode my GL1800 "Stratolounger".

I absolutely enjoy my GL1100 but there's a reason Honda put fuel injection on engines when they did!

For some reason that I have yet to figure out, my '83 Oldwing is more recalcitrant to start than my 750. Same number of cylinders but go figure.

I have had an '01 GL1800 for some time now and have around 86,000 smiles on her.

Ride on and ride safe.

Here's hoping our trails cross somewhere, someway, someday.

Ben

Welcome to the forum!! Be careful admitting that you have a bike for friends to ride when they visit.

You'll get to be very popular here quickly!!!

Only problem is they will want to ride the 1800 and let you have the 1100.

Be sure to update your profile with your address. How else can I find you and come for my ride.

Ride safe!!
