Just stopping by here to say hello. I just found this site today as a result of a reccomendation from a fellow CMAer. I have been riding since 1965 when I bought my first motorcycle, a 125 Ducati Single. Last year my wife and I took a two week trip on my BMW R-1200C. She was a real trooper as she endured the cruiserpax seat on the C for the 2000+ mile trip through back roads and mountain highways of PA, MD, VA, NC, TN, WV with less than 100 miles on the Interstate. When we arrived at home and as she was gingerly extracting herself off of the rear seat she informed me, "I will NEVER take another long trip on THAT motorcycle." So, in Nov. I bought a very nice 2002 GL1800 with only 16K miles for my wife's comfort. ;-)

At any rate, I have and will have questions about this comfy bike. Glad to be here.
