Last on the road in 1998. I have a 1974 cb750 that i brought back from the dead and am riding now but this is a little different. A lot more fun and i am looking forward to getting out on my first real cruiser. this bike has been sitting since 1998 the guy selling it has had work done to it but i can clearly see the water pump is bad as due to the drip and it doesnt seem to be firing on all four properly . my first question to those that know is what steps should i take to ensure a safe fun filled ride for myself and my wife. Its been a long time comin and not getting stranded or hurt would be the point of all the years of settling for less. Until now. My first Wing

Welcome to the forum Rod. While you are replacing the water pump, the timing belts would be a good idea too. But first you will want to get her running on all 4 cylinders. With luck it might be only a bad spark plug or lead for that.

Lucky Eddie.
