Then, to make it even harder, we love to mash words together to make slang words (oldWing, Benefer, imagineering) Then there are the differences between British English and US and Australian English (truck-lorry, elevator-lift, apartment-flat, tire-tyre, stolen-nicked, buy a beer for everyone - shout a round of piss).

I take my shapka off to you, Sir!
Put your shapka back please, it's -16 here now.

Never heard about "shout a round of piss". The differences between dialects are next level for me, I understand that I will mix them (their, there, they're , and also the verb tenses) in the next few years.

Anyway, thank you for sharing some new words.

I'm away from politics and also such threads are not allowed here, as far as I know.
oh,
we did our talking in the background via emails.

and yes, it got a bit stiff when it was obvious we had different viewpoints.

which is what I meant by "world is not round"...

and yes, we avoid politics on this forum for obvious reasons, nothing good ever comes from any discussion on the topic.... and I suspect that is true in any country in the world.

Wow, 20 years on one GL1500? How many seats and engines have you changed? I'm not asking about tires...

And still riding...
I just regrets the things I haven't done.

Only one other seat - installed a Diamond Custom seat shortly after I bought the bike and it was still on it when I sold it... As far as tires - oh boy, couldn't even guess at how many sets were on the bike... Same engine for the almost 80,000 that was on the clock when I traded her for my current ride... In hind site, wish I would have kept her along with the 2009 I purchased...
