New Member looking for advice

I'm a 40+ year old guy that is tired of being uncomfortable after riding a short ride. The kids are grown up and hopefully the bride will start riding 2 up with me.

You can see the "what type of bike section" is blank that's because I am in between bikes right now. But I am hoping to change that very soon.

Hallo KSullivan

Welcome on this nice forum. Wish you al the best.
And good luck with your search for a nice Wing.

Greetings Wil.

It is beautiful on the road with all the Goldwings.
A Goldwing rider is a happy rider.

See my Albums to see what my nickname means, and see photo's from our holiday in Australia.
Also see my other albums from my motor holidays.

I think there is no better bike to solve both issues than a Goldwing. And I think if you can get to take one ride, she will either love it or leave it...

Do you have any friends or co-workers who ride WIngs who could let you try theirs out? The market for Wings is wide open from 1200's to the all new 1800.. and all are good bikes.

There also some great "sport Cruisers" out there like the ST1300 or FJR1300 that are great for long trips as well.....

If you have to the money, the GW class has many, many great ride choices from Honda, Yamaha, Indian, and BMW (trying to be fair here). What I personally cannot recommend is
the new or older Harley cruisers. They are not as comfortable nor a versatile as our bikes are... IMHO.

Might be a good time to subscribe to Rider magazine as well......

What rides have you had in the past?

Greetingz K!

If you like to wrench on your own bike, donít overlook the 4-bangers (1000, 1100 & 1200). Not so much plastic to dig thru and still fairly good parts availability. If you have a pet you want to bring along, add a sidecar!

Current Bikes:
74 CB750 K4
77 CB550 K3
82 CM250C
82 GL1100 Interstate w/ Auburn Gemini (doublewide) Sidecar

Past Bikes:
What?? SELL a bike??

Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lots of things. You've been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. Its having the right attitudes that's hard.
