You can sometimes find an on-line service manual or a PDF version (Portable Document Format).
You'll have to sync both carbs and you need vacuum gauges for that.
Trike lady!

I love NM! i left my heart up there! It was broken anyway! found an aftermarket

Found the manual for free on manualslib

I took the carbs out at some point and looked visually at the timing. it was good, I dont know if that is enough! probably not! ill get around to that after i decide if I will rebuild or not!

prepping for a test ride.

The cruise control may just be a dirty or maladjusted switch. Possibly a brake light switch on all the time. There are also cruise cancel switches at the clutch and both brake levers. The one under the bike can be messed up by road debris.
Spot on.

the rear breaks are not lighting up when depressed! hmm. sounds so deep.

In 88 and 89 the model was called 1500/6
From 90 the models was Aspencade (= same specs as 1500/6 ) , and SE ( = more luxury ) , and Interstate ( = more basic ).

The winner is the man with most tools !

1990 was the Gold Wing and Gold Wing SE. No Interstate in 1990.

1991 was the Interstate, Aspencade and SE.
