Thumbs up new member

a very heart felt hello and thanks to all members from maine. with the wonderful help from members of this forum i was able to resurrect a 1993 aspencade with 101k miles on it. she was definitely ridden hard and put away very wet when i got her. she was used & abused hard. i would of not have been able to do this without the technical and parts references i found in this forum. again thanks.

this was my first and only goldwing. i was not even able to enjoy riding until i had maybe 300-400 miles under my belt. i had to do so much to get her back to where she should be. i dove right in. timing belts, and tensioners. crank seal. overhauled front forks & anti dives. installed progressive springs. front wheel bearings. replaced cracked main fuse holder.cleaned/lubed all hand switches. air horn install.throttle and clutch cables. brake pads.clutch and brake handles. shiftier shaft seal & aux pivot mod. rear wheel dampeners and inserts. replaced final drive. rear tire and bearings. rear axle. replace exhaust shields. rebuild fuel petcock. replaced rear shocks. install volt meter. dyna beads. many speakers. all fluids & filters. lot of hours steel wooling & polishing chrome add-ons. same for oxidized paint. finally ready to ride. after such extensive repairs and an unfamiliar bike i was white knuckles feeling her out and listening to my repairs.

after the 300-400 miles i told myself relax all seems good. there has been no slowing down since. almost 3k miles fist year. did the maine four corners tour with grandson ending in madawaska. for those who have done the u.s. four corners you know the madawaska park dedicated to riders is very classy & impressed me. i am so happy with my decision to purchase the wing and so is my wonderful woman. not to mention the pride i feel bringing her back to life. i am really enjoying this fine machine. which you all helped make possible for me.
i am itching to ride. the snow is melting, maple sap flowing, robins starting to show up...spring is almost here!!!!

i hope to both continue to learn here and also contribute to help others here when i can. everyone stay safe and enjoy your riding.

With no God over the state, the state then becomes not the defender of liberty but the definer of liberty.
