Michelin Commander 2 tires

Hello to all. I am a new member here and have been riding for many years. I just have a question about the tires in the title of this thread. I have recently purchased 2 sets of these tires for two different bikes and from two different suppliers (vendors). All four tires have production dates in 2012. Why?? I half expect to get new tires that are maybe two years old at the most. I'm just wondering if anyone has a legitimate answer.

Hi, JB. I have approved your membership.

Michelin's site seems to show them as current tires. Contact the sellers and ask for replacements or an explanation.

Now please, some information about you. What do you ride? Where do you live? Please fill in your profile.

Why ain't we ridin'?

Hello and welcome to the forum.
The seller may not be rotating the inventory or the tires aren't good sellers and sit on the shelf. Next time you order tell them you want tires that are a minimum of 2 years old. 7 year old tires I may put on a bicycle but not a motorcycle.
