All I want is that if I somehow make it to #4 is to know if the crews and their ships from Deadliest Catch are in port and where they are tied up. It would be awesome to get some pics with them.

Go ahead andmark downQDaddy and The Hag as attending. She loved Nassir3(her first MNG) so much that going to #4 is simply a given. So it'll be long highways and scenic mountains for us come summer 2011.

Don't know if I can make that from PCB....but Puget Sound? Wow....smoked smelt, Dungeness, Cold Oly's, Pike Place Market, Anacortes, San Juan de Fuca....all wonderful places and food.
Alas, real Oly is no more. The stuff is still made by a brewery in Irwindale, California which doesn't seem cricket to me. No more real Rainier beer either. Not only that but the yuppies and weirdos have taken over Seattle and Olympia. Luckily they can't screw up the beautiful terrain of the Pacific Northwest.

Some beautiful country for sure. When I was out there I arrived in June. At 4 am it was full daylight and not dark until 9pm or later. When I left in December it was just the opposite. Dark until 8am and pitch black night by 4pm. We loved going to Pike Place. Diving for Dungeness crabs at Anacortes. And seeing the Orcas at the Straits of San Juan de Fuca. Sad that the Oly's and Rainer have passed on. I spent six months sleeping on an old Army cot at the school on the Ballard Shipping Canal.

Man, I would love to be able to swing the trip out there next year and see it all again.

I'll see what I can find out. I know one of the crew from the Time Bandit is from Bremerton but don't know much else.

Is it safe to assume that the general concept will be similar to previous events? Camping, reasonably priced hotels and a meeting venue all within a few miles of each other?

Some long term, outside the box thinking going on.

Yep, that's a safe assumption and is what I'm working on first.

I will think about the Rhino's thing!!!!!!!

I guess Wayne missed the induction of the Canucks into the Wild Rhinos. You should have been there Wayne. Flyone (Honourary Newfie) made those of us at the Tally Ho Canadian Wild Rhinos. We did the Rhino roar, the Rhino mating call and then (thanks to Beaver Bill) we all dropped a load of Rhino crap. I guess Wayne won't be able to ride with us anymore. Maybe Flyone can make you a Rhino at Oshkosh bygosh.

If that's true, how did you know what Button Lady was talking about? I suspect you had to Google that to find out.
