NASSIR 7 Schedule of Events and Activities

NASSIR 7 Schedule of Events and Activities

Our overall objective for NASSIR 7 is to provide you with a venue that will give you a great and memorable vacation experience in the Smoky Mountains! We will do this by offering you as many “optional” activities as possible and the result will be that everyone should be able to find something that they want to do that will make their NASSIR 7 experience truly unique! Of course the primary purpose of our NASSIR events has always been riding (sightseeing) and socializing so NASSIR 7 will be no exception! However, history has shown us that everyone will not be riding each and every day so our overall vision is more of a “something for everyone” approach that promotes and supports riding while at the same time provides additional activities that will facilitate socializing.

When you arrive please be sure to check in at the front desk for your accommodations. There is also a NASSIR 7 Check In Table that you need to sign in at. The volunteers there will provide you with your "Check In Package" which will contain detailed information about the schedule of events as well as area info/maps, menus, and other useful material. Your prepaid meal tickets (vouchers) will also be included along with your customized name buttons and any items that you may have pre-ordered (T-shirts, cups, etc). In addition, a daily schedule of events will be posted on an Event Board in the poolside cabana area. If that fails to give you the information you are looking for, please be sure to ask one of our volunteers and they will be happy to assist.

Note: if you are camping or using off-site accommodations please make it a point to check in at the NASSIR 7 Check In table to pick up your information packet/items/name buttons and let us know that you have arrived safely.

A note concerning schedule rides: we will try our best to have a least one scheduled ride with a lunch stop per day on Tue, Wed & Thu. The actual ride routes will be different each day to avoid duplication and to maximize your enjoyment. There is no “requirement” to join these rides and you should feel free to organize something for you and a few friends or just go solo if you would like. Our area ride maps will provide you with some excellent riding routes of varying lengths!

Evening Shuttles: While there is no official shuttle service out to the campground area we will have several vehicles available. If you prefer to have a ride in and back so that you do not have to drink and drive, please let us know and we will set something up. Your safety is our primary concern and we will NOT let our friends drive drunk.

Monday, July 7th

This is the "Early Arrival" day. The NASSIR 7 Check In table will be available in the afternoon in the main lobby of the lodge (on the balcony weather permitting). You will also find a lot of us lounging around the pool area all afternoon! At 5:00 PM the check in table will be moved to the pool area. Also at the pool area, we will have an informal "roll your own" sandwich making social (BYOB) beginning at 6:00 PM! In order for us to plan for this meal appropriately we ask that you purchase your meal tickets (vouchers) in advance through our NASSIR 7 Store Front http://clockshoppe.net/ZENfiles/ . These advance tickets will be at a reduced cost as compared to paying for them upon arrival. If you did not pre-purchase your meal voucher you are still welcome to join us for a cash contribution of $7.00

Tuesday, July 8th

This is the "Regular Arrival" day. The NASSIR 7 Check In Table will be available in the afternoon in the main lobby of the lodge (on the balcony weather permitting). You will also find a lot of us lounging around the pool area all afternoon! At 5:00 PM the check in table will be moved to the Wildwood Grill veranda/deck area where we will have a social gathering for food, fun, and drinks (6:00PM). This will be a “pay for your own food/drink” social and you should feel free to order what you want to eat/drink from the grill. The grill knows we are coming so they will have extra staff on to support us but please expect service to be a little slow. There is also a well stocked cash bar available. Entertainment will be provided Randy Flack from Asheville NC starting at 7:00 PM through 10: PM. This will also be our Group Photo opportunity so please arrive at or before 6:00 PM!!!

Wednesday, July 9th

You will find a lot of us lounging around the pool area all afternoon! Join us at the lower parking lot (grassy area beside the Genral Store) at 6:00 PM where we will have a bar-b-que trailer set up to provide you with hamburgers, hotdogs, baked beans and all the fixings (BYOB and lawn chairs)! We will have a few canopies set up in case of rain. In order for us to plan for this meal appropriately we ask that you purchase your meal tickets in advance through our NASSIR 7 Store Front. These advance tickets will be at a reduced cost as compared to paying for them upon arrival. If you did not pre-purchase your meal voucher you are still welcome to join us for a cash contribution of $10.00

Thursday, July 10th

You will find a lot of us lounging around the pool area all afternoon! On Thursday evening beginning at 6:00 PM we will be having our main event banquet. This is a catered meal and we will have use of the event hall for as long as we want it (see the Banquet Menu page for the food offerings). In order for us to plan for this meal appropriately we ask that you purchase your meal tickets in advance through our NASSIR 7 Store Front. Please note: the price of the meal includes the buffet as well as taxes, a 20% tip for the staff and also covers a portion of the event hall rental. These advance tickets will be at a reduced cost as compared to paying for them upon arrival. For this meal we cannot add too many people to it at the last minute so don't miss out, PLEASE buy your meal vouchers in advance. If you did not pre-purchase your voucher you are still welcome to join us for a cash contribution of $28.00 at the door. If you do not wish to eat you will be expected to make a $3.00 cash contribution at the door to help pay for the Event Hall rental fee. During and immediately after the meal we will have guest speakers, awards, and our annual auction!

Additional information.....

We have several volunteers with trailers, tools and equipment available should the need arise. Please be sure to check your information packets for the phone numbers to call should you need roadside assistance.

There will be a motorcycle cleaning/pit area set up for your use along with various cleaning supplies. It is located along the road next to the covered pavilion by the miniature golf course across from the Wildwood Grill.

There are several other activities that are available during your stay at the resort. You are on your own as to what you would like to do or not. We've tried to include as much information as possible in the information packets for you to use in making your stay a memorable one. These include a Frisbee golf course, sunset boat rides on the lake, boat rentals, hiking, riding stables, tennis courts, and the list goes on.
