In 2000 I ordered a supercharger kit for my '99 Miata. It came with a tube of gasket sealer. Grey in appearance, it cured to a firm elastic texture. Impervious to the usual oils and chemicals. Three-Bond. Available at Honda Dealers as HondaBond or at Yamaha dealers as YamaBond. I respect Permatex but they don't make a gasket compound as good as Three Bond. My primary gasket ripped out a two inch section at the top. I have a spare gasket but with ThreeBond I don't feel the need to use it. Wiped clean and washed with carb cleaner and wiped dry. ThreeBond forms a rubbery but firm seal.

Two inches of torn gasket doesn't bother me. I know the gasket sealer will do the job since it's on the top of the primary.

Three Bond, Yamabond or Hondabond....

84 Standard. Fairly bone stock
