Also in talking to the engineer about these carbs he said that he has fuel pressure tested them without the fuel cut off solenoid installed, on the front of the carb to 10PSI and he did not get any fuel past the float valve.

This is Great Because this is the main reason I am converting Hydrolock fuel leaking past the float valve

and hydro lock my engine dumping fuel on top of the engine and all over the floor.

That should be a thing of the past, I have my fuel valve set to on and will leave it set to on, to test it.

10psi is way more than we should ever need. a Electric fuel pump should only be putting out 3-4psi maybe 5psi max. for Carb.

He also said that the solenoid was not for a fuel cut off like i thought it was and would not work as that function, and would only provide me problems.

This sounded promising to cure my Hydrolock situation.

Well I started it today, but only had it running for about 15 seconds, I still need to put the cooling system back together, Radiator is still off of the bike.

I had to give it some throttle to keep it running, I will try adding some manual choke to see if that helps.

After I get the cooling system re-installed, and check for cooling leaks and vacuum leaks.

Update:

Cooling system is back on.

Started it back up.

No coolant leaks, and no Vacuum leaks.

WOW!! WE!!! and I don't normally use 60's phrases.

Oh! I have the 32DFT on there right now it is a 32/32mm Progressive two barrel.

Idles at 1000 rpm very nicely for it not being completely warmed up.

Shut it down, then re-started it, it started right up instantly, It is very nice throttle, instant fast reving to 8+K.

Held throttle open, at different throttle positions, very smooth

I would like to go for a test ride, but i dont have the throttle hold bracket done yet.

I did not have to use any choking at all, starting or running,

More pictures,

If i could figure out how to load a HIGH res video, or compress it down some I would, Not sure how i would do it.

Pics for now.

Pic#1 is the Cable Hold bracket that needs to be cut out.

I also need to finish my Air filter, I bought a carb bottom for my new single carb. and going to put the top and filter you see in the picture I have to graft the two together.

Then get a longer crank case breather hose and a fitting and run it up to the new air filter base.

That Throttle cable hold bracket goes under the front two carb. hold down bolts, and secures the throttle cable like the stock one did.

I may not have mentioned this.

No hiccups at all, Idles very nice and smooth, at 1000-1100 rpm.

Revved it to 2k held it there, held it at 3k, then 4k for 30secs. each very smooth.

Revved into secondaries to 8k+ Nice and very fast!!

Surprisingly Fast to 8K+ really fast.

No flat spots at all, Only sweet spots.

This was all at No load, as i have not made my throttle Hold Bracket to hold the cable.

Restarts are excellent.

Starts Instantly.

It really revvs FAST

I did change/upgrade My Ignition to the MP08 GL1500 Coils and used the GL1500 spark plug Wires to.

If you look in the pictures you can see that the spark plug wires a couple of them take a funny turn.

But they were in spec for a GL1500 that is.

The GL1500 ignition coils and wires are much better than what I had on the bike before.

From your description I'd say exactly the same. I turned the idle stop down and it's smooth just over 1000. Revs fast right to redline, of course with no load. No hesitation at all, anywhere. I let it run up to operating temp and I plan to run it through several heat cycles tomorrow.

Did your bike run at normal temp or did it run a little hotter than normal,

meaning warmed up faster, fan came on more often,

probably because i was in the back of the shop and bike Not moving,

no air flow should have put a fan in front of the radiator, it was warm today 90 degrees.

That may be all it is, fan came on and it cooled right down.
