Awesome!!

Better than my first start with my HOTT/Webber set up!

But it's perfected now, so I'm just, with you dude!!

For what it's worth and if I may be so bold? The current rebuild of the `80, `81, `82 & `83 GL1100STDASPENSTATE can be followed on classicgoldwings.com in a thread called "The plan is to turn 140,000 into 50,000."

Day-trip to Historic Natchitoches, Louisiana,,,,,perfect setting for Two Old Wings. 250 mile round trip, and they ran like Butter. Ol' Blacky, with the single carb, held his own with the Yeller stock carb.

P.S. There were Harley's all over the place, but check out the guy with the camera, I guess everyone wants a picture of something Naked.

Thanks for all the help. Got most of trike done now working on PVC carbs

600 Mile Trip-PVC Single Carb

Went to Hot Springs Labor Day Week-End, 600 mile round trip. Both Bikes ran great. Black single carb 81 ran perfect whole trip, 39 mpg, never missed a beat, and OH Yeah we had a Great Time.

Solo Seat

Finally got back to installing solo seat. Came off a Suzuki Boulevard....a little cuttin', grindn', riggin', and put in memory foam, and a rubber waffle pad,,,,,,,,very comfortable....I Love it.

Decided we would try camp'n on the Ol' Wings,,, 400 mile round trip to Jefferson, Texas. We camped at Caddo State Park, it was Perfect, and so was the weather. The single carb Ol' Blacky got almost 45 mpg loaded with gear. Went 10 miles up the road to an Antique European Bike Rally, those guys love their Bikes, but every single one said...."you know I used to have a 1100 and it was the best bike I ever had"......Duh!!! We had fun and will camp on our road trips from now on.

This seems like an apt thread to ask this question. I just picked up a GL1200A and I'm looking at most likely having to go through the carbs before it will run well. Would it be worthwhile to just go ahead and switch to a single carb now?
