Open air intake

Hey guys.
I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there is any risk to the motor leaving the air cleaner lid off the gl1100. I did this once and secured the air filter with the original wing nut but with the cover off. I loved the sound it'd make. But I feared for my bike running lean.
It'd be like our old high school cars turning the air filter cover upside down.

Any input and/or experience is much appreciated thanks

It wouldn't do anything but make the intake noise louder.

With no God over the state, the state then becomes not the defender of liberty but the definer of liberty.

If I disagree with you it's simply because you're wrong.
