I enjoy Shooting, Hunting, Collecting.

I pretty much only Dove hunt anymore.

I have been shooting a shotgun since I was a kid. Won many events.

I do a lot of shotgun sports shooting such as Trap Skeet and Sporting Clays.

I have a Golf cart now and will be bringing it to the shooting range permanently.

Sporting Clays is like Golf with a Shotgun , What a Blast.

I also like to shoot pistols and rifles.

I particularly like to shoot 22's , I collect 22's for some weird reason.

You know, windows didn't get that bad over night! It took fifteen years of careful development!

If you get stopped you basically have to tell the police that you do not give them permission to search the vehicle and then you call your US Lawshield lawyer because anything they find they will confiscate, legal or otherwise. I hate it because I have always been one to be straight up with the police but I have even been told by some former officers that with todays new crop of young officers that at least in NJ that is NOT what you want to do. It IS legal to transport weapons to the range in cases, locked and unloaded and separate from the ammo. BUT, They will make it a big deal for you if they think they can. So never, ever ride through NJ with your weapon.

LOL so there is another state like Illinois? LOL

I thought Illinois was the worst .

Az and Texas is more than likley the best gun friendly states . But there might be more.

I don't know if I have a favorite, it's like a fast food menu, hard to decide which one to take out.

I have also gotten back into 22's. They are fun, cheap and a challenge at long ranges. Anybody can hit targets at long range with a scoped hunting rifle but I absolutely love shooting my old Springfield 03A3 with iron sights at 300 yards and putting down a 3-4" pattern. I also have the 22 Mossberg bolt action I learned on in 1956 with peep sights that shoots as good today as it did then. Dead accurate at 200 yards!
My favorite pistols are my 1911 (seems to be a perennial favorite), My Colt model 29 in 44 mag. (which I had BEFORE the Dirty Harry movie!), My S&W 454 rechambered in 45ACP and last but not least the Ruger Blackhawk chambered in 30 carbine with a black chrome finish. THAT gun gets attention at the range!!! I also have a Glock 19 that I just can't seem to get a feel for. I can drive tacks with the 1911 at 50 yards but I have trouble with the Glock at 25.

What a welcome change of pace for the off riding season. A lot of these posts wouldn't have been seen on the old forum. I've been around firearms for better than 55 years. Hunting, target shooting, and a little "Bullseye" competition. Now it's just paper punching.

Penn. used to be very gun friendly. We've recently had more than our fair share of New Yorkers and Jersyites move into the commonwealth and start to miss the restraints of their home states, and are now trying to control our freedoms.

Don't mean to get political, but it did make national t.v. and it irks me.

I've only made it to five of our NASSIR/NASR events and I carried to all but D-Rods in New York. SBinSC's Edgefield was iffy but do-able because of family/friends in the community. My little friend did stay in the motel until my departure. Lack of reciprocity sucks in our nation when you're trying to be a good guy.

For those who've never fought for it, the price of freedom shall never be known.... Shooter (2Late45)

I like 22s also, have a mossberg bolt action that is probably the most accurate gun I have, including my customized 10/22. 1911 fan also, have 2 of them, a colt govt mark 4 series 70 and a rock island. I think you mean a S&W model 29, what dirty Harry had, not colt.

My first gun was the Mossberg 22 rifle. I think my brother still has it.

Oh, and Idaho is a very gun friendly state.

You are right Dave, I was thinking about a Colt Government 38 special I have when I typed that. Yes, it is the S&W 29 in 6". And the S&W 454 is chambered in 45 long colt, I have a S&W government "DA 45" chambered in 45 ACP. I have not been shooting the wheel guns for a while and I am getting the chambering mixed up. The long colt is expensive so I don't shoot that much. I have all the reloading equipment from my dad but I have never set it up here since ammo has been cheap enough that the savings are not that great for most ammo. The long Colt and 30-30 and 30-06 would be worth reloading I guess. I haven't priced all the bits and pieces.
