Why I carry a gun

I noticed that one of the main reason is because I enjoy doing so.
Maybe is the kid in me.When I work long days and dont go anyplace after awhile I miss carrying my gun. It is like a cool watch that someones has. Its not for telling time but makes one happy.
There are thousands of Canadians visiting FL each year. I bet they dont care that many law-abiding citizens carry guns. Im also pretty sure that if they could change the law they would not . And I think most feel as safe as in their country. Maybe a few of them wish they could conceal carry at least when they are on this side of the fence

I carry one because there are sometimes things that need to be shot.

Because there are evil people willing to do harm to myself and my loved ones. I'm willing to protect them with all means necessary and that includes my gun.

For all the above reasons. Plus since almost all our vacations are done on the bike I have always seen us as an easy target. It's time to get the little women licensed too.

When I'm carrying, everyone in my vicinity is just a little bit safer than they would be if I wasn't.

I carry, because I can.

If you guys where aware of were I came from, the fear in the streets, the unrelenting and unavoidable violence just because you happen to be spending some time with a woman.

I often think that back there, was when I needed to carry.

Because I can and I believe that every competent, law abiding adult citizen should have the training to carry safely...and do it. No doubt there would be more gun related accidents, but far fewer gun related (and non-related) crimes. Even criminals hesitate to place themselves in danger of being shot.

I carry because I refuse to be a victim! I drive a truck & lots of times have to park in less than ideal places.

On my tour this year, I will have to leave my guns at home. I am riding through Canada up to Alaska, and back through Canada again. So for that stretch of road in each direction, I will have to forget about self-defense [ Ut Oh! I offended someone! ] I am not happy about it, but I do want to ride to Alaska and back again, and unfortunately, someone [ put ] Canada between the states of Alaska and Washington.

Joe

Any excuse for a ride!

Here in Florida the state has decided to accept Quebecs French only written. driver licenses because of the large amount of tourism Canada brings.
How about returning the favor and allowing US citizens with a valid permit to legally transport a hand gun even if it has to be locked and unloaded ( for those who desire to carry a gun while in Alaska)
To make sure the gun is not forgotten in CDN have the person put in an escrow four times what the gun is worth. Return his money upon reentrance to the US
