All of my Dell laptops have to have a fan shroud or "powered lap desk" under them after about 5 years, unless I take them apart and blow the dust out of the cooling fins and replace the thermal paste under the heatsinks. That stuff doesn't last forever and Dell uses crap paste to begin with - most companies do.

I've had good luck with

I guess I'll order a tube and put it in the computer parts box. My two Dells run fine and not hot but they do sit on a cooling base when running. The base is for smaller laptops and the larger ones don't fit well on it.
I have a Dell E6410 and an E6230. For me it's buy a used one and all I've purchased they've all been good.

The Precision 7730 runs surprisingly cool, but it does have some serious vents. $4999 Used?? Wow. I figured it was a "spendy" box, but pretty surprised it is THAT spendy!

Yikes!
Another old E6410 would be in my future.

Congrats, tomorrow cannot come fast enough.
Your package is way better than the one I got today, 2 cans of primer for a table I'm redoing.

What're you talking about? That cord looks fine.

Play with the new laptop.

yeah,
the cord survived, can't say as much for the door.

opened up the new "ASUS TUF Gaming" laptop.
turned off Cortana, did not allow it to see the Internet,
and now I am trying to get it to boot up on a USB-DVD

it sees it, and turns it off.

so, I am assuming that it is not allowing it to run, because the Macrium Reflect that is on the DVD was made on my Win7 PC.

So, installing a brand new MR just downloaded, and going to use that to create a new Recovery DVD.

back later with results.

I want an OEM 1st boot, image of the SSD.
