Lets just say there is a guy. We'll give this guy a motorcycle ...say a goldwing. Lets say this guy changes his oil often... say.., oh.. every 2000 miles. Now if this guy mixed two quarts of a nice type lll syth like oh... rotella 5/40 and two quarts of a good type lv or v synth like ..oh... amsoil 10/40 wouldnt this guy get the better part of the benefits of both oils at a reduced cost??

Yes considering that ANY oil or synthetic, pure or mixed will do as well as any other as long as it meets Honda's specifications and is changed at the required intervals.

Dburnash, possibly & possibly not.. Ina lot ofcases not all of one type of oil's additive package are totally compatible another oilsadditive package.. Most oil brands are tested against the other oil's in it's class but it's impossible to totally test all the brands against all the others so the possibility exists that there could be some incompatibility.. The oils will get along just fine but not necessarily the additive packages.. It's best to stick with one brand & type of oil at a time..

┬*You know.. the cost of┬* even 2000 mile changes, and filters,┬* is less than┬* 1/2 of 1% of the cost of the machine...even if done by a mechanic... and the cost of a fried engine┬* is so much more than any "saving " .┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬* ┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*A basic Dino oil , and filter┬* change┬* is about $15 to $20 no matter what you do , so the Savings ( the actual difference between your strange , multi weight, multi additive combination┬* oils┬* and the basic oil change ) ┬* ┬*is going to be very,┬* very small.. probably less than a cuppa┬* at starbucks.. ┬* ┬*┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*"Wouldnt this guy get the better part of the benefits of both oils at a reduced cost??"┬* ┬*You might also get the worst part┬* of each oil, at reduced cost, as the additives fight each other on the battleground of your bearings ...┬* ┬*┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*I would just fill it up with Amasoil, and enjoy the ride ...┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬*┬* ┬* SilverDave┬*
