In anticipation of riding a couple hundred of miles tomorrow in the rain, figured I had better check the oil and tires. Guess what? I was down to about 20 lbs in each tire.
So, before going out this spring, be sure to check those tires!
I check mine before each ride, too. My harley-riding buddy used to laugh at me 'til he piled into a jersey barrier because of a low tire. Now he doesn't mind getting a little dust on his knees at the start of a ride.
Always good advice to check tire pressure. I check mine weekly unless I have a passenger then I check it before any 2 up ride. If I change tires I'd check it at each ride until I had a handle on the rate of loss of air in the new tires. A little zig zag or two when starting out can also make sure every thing is working right, a low tire or loose fork innardswill be noticeable, if anything feels different then it's time right there and then to investigate before you get out of sight of home. Give the brakes a tap or two, if anything is different that's the time to find out. A professional truck or bus driver checks out all operating systems before leaving thecompany yard, not a bad practice for a bike rider either.
whoo hooo!!!! as soon as i get out of this straight jacket and working again i will do that.........geez yous is smart paulie..............
