Well as some have read I relocated my rear trunk back and my lady is super happy and loves the added space and says the backrest does not bother her any more !!

some members wanted information on how to do it ect ...

I have taken the guess work and measuring work out of the job for you ...

I have some premade brackets that will bolt right up and move the trunk back.

you will need a dremel or grinder to remove a little plastic fins on the under side of the box (easy job)

hack saw or cut off grinder to remove a section of a suport bar that is nolonger needed. (also simple)

I will include pictures of the process.

as of right now I donot have brackets to move the helmet holders. They will need to be unbolted and removed. dont discard them ! very shortly I will have brackets!

when complete it is hard to tell anything has changed ! all things line up and look good. the seat tab sits slightly back but looks good.the saddlebags will now be able to be removed without removeing the trunk lower housing !

I feel the job should take no longer than 1hr -2hr from start to finish

brackets are $30 for the set (2 brackets)

paypal me for your order

[email protected]

I have 3 sets ready to ship ... today ....

Well done, good to see you have done this successfully and that you are helping others to achieve the same thing.

Yes sir,

Pictures would be greatly appreciated. My lady would also appreciate the additional room.

Thanks for your efforts.

Thanks for the warm welcome there, Redwing.

I have updated my profile per your suggestion. I stumbled onto this site and was very interested to read the informative topics. I've been riding since I was 16 and that's been quite a while now. <grin> I bought my 99 Aspy last year and was interested in getting a little more passenger room so this thread really caught my eye. I hope to see more of the detail on his this was done.

Thanks again.
