Can anyone tell me if there is a difference in the 84 I & 85 I/A rear view mirrors in respect to size as i see lots of chrome or polished backs for the 85 & since mine is an 84 I would not want to order these if they will not fit.

You would think they would be the same but this site has a slightly different part number between the two.

Thank you, it has been a very informative site & i have read every page beginning to end. Have looked at the 85 mirrors on a friends bike, they look similar in front but i am not sure about the back which is the area they make the chrome add-ons for.

Mirrors, one of the weak links on the 1200 for sure, once you bump one, it's a goner forever..and the best of them are weak... any good ideas ...I'm still reading...

the 84 mirrors are lower than the 85-87 more straight I guess is what I'm saying and the 85-87 are slightly higher. They both mount up the same. I prefer the 84 mirrors over the 85-87 mirrors, but that is just me being me

Ride Safe, Ray

Working riding whenever we can. Wish I had more time to hang out with my goldwing family!
