Ok, I read up on using black ABS glue for my plastic repairs, but do I need to use the Primer, or just the glue?

Yes, just the black goo old fashioned ABS cement. Make sure it's the ABS only type, not the type designed for a variety of plastic pipe. Weldon is one of the common brands, comes in a small round can with a screw top that has a dauber under the lid.

Sure can't hurt to use the cleaner. This is what I used to repair the lower fairing cracks:

Black ABS Cement, Oatey #30999,

ABS Cleaner, Oatey #30779

Fiberglass bedding tape.
