I've sorted the electrical problem I posted the other day, thanks for your input (turned out to be a very bad earth), but have another. 2000rpm and above the bike runs great. Below that it hunts and struggles to keep going. While looking at the carbs I could hear a little pop and the carbs moved back. each carb is doing it but at different times. You have to be extra gentle to rev the bike or it just conks, but OK once you hit 2000rpm. A compression test showed 110 lb each side. I did the compression test with both plugs out and it spat back from the plug holes a couple of times. any thoughts greatly appreciated, Jim

If you see a vehicle with a indicator on, the bulb works, if it flashes the relay works, if they turn......they know it\'s on!!!

I am a little confused. It sounds like you are talking about an engine with 2 cylinders??

I just read your secondary title. You are talking about 2 cylinders! A Honda 250 Dream. Is the timing set properly? Is the mechanical advance free and not frozen? If that is ok then you have carb troubles...

Yep, it's my Honda cb250n (superdream). I use it as a run around. It's easier to get into the center of town with. Tried the wing a couple of times but you just end up sitting in traffic.
