I've got an electronic ignition in a 77 that I cant identify. I've got a picture but it to big to post.
I'm buying dyna coils and was wondering if I should replace the whole works or just the coils and wires. complete kit from chitown 309.00 coils 119.00 wires 40 ?
If some one can post this picture smaller we can identify it and see if it worth keeping. Any advice is appreciated thanks tang

Looks like the one in the GL1000 I have. It is not running great so I am thinking of going back to points.

Pretty sure that's a Prestolite ignition. I have one and am trying to find instructions for it.

"You love this thing because it\'s sheer mechanicalness (is that a word?).
There\'s nothing they used electronics for that they could instead figure out a way to do with mechanics."

I believe I have some info that came with the bike. 3 people including me had trouble with this system. It doesn't adjust well. I can make copies next week and email if you want. Can you tell me more about the Dyna?
