Have seen a lot about this and have been having some charging issues. Thinking about replacing the stator this winter, but what is the alternator mod and where can I find more info. Thanks

I think this is the Poorboy home page, its a start any way, if you enter "Poorboy mod" in the search box at the top of tf he forum page you will get quite a few references to it.
Will go that path myself if (when?) my stator gives out.

Thanks Dan! Checked it out and doesn't seem to be to difficult, jujst want to do a few more checks to make sure it is the stator, then get a hold of one of the kits. Have to wait for winter though, got a truck that I am doing work on while the weather is still nice!

Eh Jakeblues, Have you fixed the 3 yellow wires that run to the left of your battery & join into a plug? They burn inside the plug & cause charging failure. You cut the plug right out & re solder the wires together. Cover with shrink tube.

If ya cant fix it with a hammer, it's prolly lectrical
