The previous owner of my 1500 gave me a pair of Baker Built Air Wings, main and lower. I’m not sure how they attach and if I have all of the hardware or not. There are no holes in the faring molding where it looks like they would mount.

Am I missing hardware to mount them to the faring pocket screws?

There are two holes in the curved arm between the upper and lower arms that go out to the wings. Do I drill holes in the faring trim where these two holes are? What type and size of screw or bolt do I use? Do you have any tips for when I drill the holes?

Thanks

I am not sure about the 1500 but when I mounted minw on my 1100 I hasd to drill some holes in the fairing to mount the air wings.

Take the left and right fairing storage pockets out. Under the storage pockets are 2 side fairing mounting screws. They attach with those 2 screws on each side

To attach the bottom of the 'arm', you have to remove the 'deflector cap' and screw, where the deflectormounts onto the fairing.

You can always ask for installation and parts diagram from Baker Built - http://www.bakerbuilt.com/home.htm

I would also recommend putting some blue loctite on the chrome knob/balls, as I lost one and had to order another.

No holes are drilled to mount the Baker Wings.

You do have to drill two holes on the right side when installing Baker Wings on an 1100.
