I have a 1996 Aspencade with 43,000 miles. My problem is the clock runs fast, it ticks off minutes every 20 to 30 seconds and the front speakers pop and jump at times. The speakers will pop and jump in and out when any electrical draw is applied such as brake lights, high beam. The pop can be heard in the headset too. The former owner butchered a CD player into the sound system. I have removed all the wiring from the CD changer but it didn't help. The speakers will crackle when I turn the handle bar to full stop. I thnk it may be a grounding problem but don't know were to start with out taking the bike apart. I have not replaced the brushes in the alternater yet, have them just not in.

Any help will be appreciated.

There is no place to start without taking things apart. Start at the place where any wiring moves when turning the bars. Wiggle and tug on wires until you narrow down the area where a bad connection or a shorted or partially broken wire may be.

With no God over the state, the state then becomes not the defender of liberty but the definer of liberty.

If I disagree with you it's simply because you're wrong.
