Tape player volume has recently dropped considerably[radio volumestill normal]. Whentape player volume iscrankedto max, can barely hear treble side of a tape; bass becomes really annoying[almostlike one tape track is missing]. Has anyone elseexperienced this?Tried every switch/lever insystemwith no change[even unplugged/replugged allconnectors at front of unit]. Has anyone fixed this problem usingtape head cleaner? Any sound advice much appreciated, short of sending radio out for service, as it may be a handlebar switchor wiring harness problem. Will try contact cleaner in h/b switches next. hi tom sounds like the tape head is dirty run a cleaner through it or get a cotton bud put a little nail varnish remover on the end and with the tape door open give the head a rub failing that with a tape in the slot and the door open tape running put a small screwdriver in and lift the tape up and down slightly to see if the mecasnizsm that holds the tape isout of line
