Its time for a new windshield on my 96 SE. The one on my bike is 21 inches if I measure in the center from the top down to the rubber seal strip when it is slid all the way down as short as it will go. Is that where I am suppose to measure at? I would like to Have one about 1 1/2 inches shorter so I can see over it.

Thanks Jeff

Good question. I don't know if there is a standard way of measuring them, but if you buy a screen thats advertised at say 2" shorter than stock then it will be exactly that.

That is a bit confusing. I just measured mine at 35" and mine is +4 over stock. That being said stock would be 31". I took these measurements of the overall length. Now I've read that 24" is stock for a 1500. That would mean that they measure from the base of the dash (as mine is 28" at that point). That is what is actually seen, not what is actually there.

Hope that helped.:action:
