GL1500 sometimes won't crank unless it's in neutral

Really a bummer when I stall her out when the light turns green and have to hunt for neutral. :(

Is this the Clutch handle switch or could it be something else?

it either the clutch or kick stand switch, i dont think there is anything else in the circuit.

Not sure if a 1500 Wing has a diode in the start system, but many 70's and 80's Honda's did. clutch has to pulled to start, even in neutral, if the diode has failed. Doesn't sound like that fits your problem but diodes can create some hard to find troubles, just might be something to check

Here's hpw mine works. The side stand has to be up and the clutch lever in. If I stall at the light... With the key on and the side stand up, I have to let the clutch all the way out and pull it back in to start the bike while in gear.

Letting the clutch out "resets" something.
