I have a 1992 gl1500 SEthe over drive light doesn't work when i put it in top gear it's shifting into OD & works fine but no OD light so i can't use my cruise all my lights work when i turn the key on so it's not a bulbi ordered a repair manual hopefuly i can fix it asap she's my baby it's mint so that realy bugs me if anybody has any ideas please let me know THANKSGILBERT1244

Most likely the problem is the gear position switch on the transmission.

You may need to clean the C135 connector up under the right lower faring, above the right cooling fan shroud. It is the forward-most lower connector on the bracket. It has a black housing and is 6 pin.

The Cruise Control will work in either 4th gear or 5th(OD). Could be your gear position switch.

Here's how you check to see if it is shot. Check it 1st and then get back to us.
