Thanks Andy , I was just wishing it would. The little flat part that spins the sensor is broke on mine.

When in doubt try and use the internet

For OEM parts look at the microfiche on bikebandit.com
and compare

140047-001 ~ 83 interstate
140066-001 ~ 85 interstate

besides the numbers being different,
the parts look different

Don't forget the parts yards in your area

I know the answer is no. My 84 had an 83:ish speedo drive - it comes close - but no.
