I put an order into HDLparts Friday.. but they still don't know if any of the parts are in stock, and it may take weeks to find out if I can get the parts, and to actually get them. Basicallywaiting on them is probably a waste of time.

It ended up being about $180 for everything, but I'll pay it for the quality. I am VERY skeptical of using anything other than OEM parts after I got screwed by the sabercycle aftermarket water pump garbage.

I might take my list of parts to the dealer and see what they can do, and if they want to price match hdlparts, etc.. Or just go on to eBay and order an aftermarket gasket kit. Which I could probably still have by the weekend if I order it right now.

Can anyone vouch for a good aftermarket kit?

I can't vouch for any aftermarket gaskets. I'd go ahead and seek out the OEM gaskets at a local dealer. They can also do a 'parts search' to see if any other local dealer might have them in stock.
The difference you might pay in hopes that they might 'price match' from HDL probably won't be worth the potential wait.

Yea.. Back from the dealer.

He said he could get all the parts. Some parts were at other dealers, some parts were through Honda. He said it would probably be around $240 for them to do it.

I told him I'd think about it. If anything maybe I'll just get the OEM head gaskets if they can get them reasonably, and the rest aftermarket.

I guess I need to give HDLparts another day and hope they can tell me for certain whether or not they can get the parts. If the dealer can get them, I dont see why they couldn't..

Did you try Western?

My honest opinion though is, if your local dealer is willing to try, spend the extra $60. Face to face is a good thing.

None of the dealers willstock parts for our bikes.

Why ain't we ridin'?

Id like to go local too..I just can't afford to throw that much money away..Especially because then you have to pay sales tax as well.

Just called HDLparts again. They said they can get everything from Honda! Said they should have it Thurs/Fri. Sweet!

I just hope hes right.. I'll be happy.
