I own a 1983 GL1100A. I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to tie my .mp3 player into the Clarion II stereo on my bike? I am looking for a way to hard wire it into the system? I currently have an FM transmitter, but I am not pleased with the sound due to the high number of radio stations in my area. I would really like to tie the .mp3 player to the amplifier so I could listen without any noise from other stations.

Thank you in advance for your time!

There may be a discussion about this in the forum index, I vaguely recall it coming up before.

The 5-pin DIN Y-cable is no longer available on ebay? What does it look like, where can I get one? I did a search, but could not find?

Also, the green one is the one leading to the amplifier, correct?

So the idea is to just run the mp3 player through the amplifier with no volume from the radio. If you have the volume on the radio also, you would hear them both, right? So now I have to make a cool mount for the player on my handlebars somewhere, preferably cheap but sturdy. Anyone do that?

Good velcro. You want it easy to take off in case of bad weather or security.

Sounds about right. A nice big patch that covers the whole back. Good idea!
