I recently purchased an 87 Aspencade and the big aluminum trim piece under the windshield with the honda emblem on it is loose, right where it meets the headlight. I removed the trim and looked at the back of it and the only thing there are 2 threaded studs. Is there some kind of clip or something that goes there? I don't want to see this flapping in the wind when riding season comes.

Thank You

Sounds like there should be a clip there where the studs are.

What I know about 1200's you canwrite on the back of a postage stamp but on the 1100 thescrews you're lookingat thread into some wierd semi circular oval nuts, two of which I found just this week on a fairing I'm about to throw out.

If someone can confirm that the same nuts are used on the 1200, I'll send 'em to you. PM me if some one gets back and confirms it.

Now.... here's the $64.000 question... Where can I get this clip?? I doubt the dealer would have it.

Found this picture of the back side of the trim showing the clip on ebay. The trim is in rough shape but I may buy it just for the clip.

Those clips often break off easily, seen a few of them like that.
