I have found a beautiful '84 Interstate for sale close by, with only 54,000 miles on it, and am considering buying it. I have had so many issues with my '85 LTD that I am about ready to give up on it. But I have spent a lot of money on things like a new seat, new windshield, new Progressive air shocks, also the rear end/final drive on it is in like new condition. My plan is to keep the '85 as a parts bike, if all those things will fit on the '84.

Everything you've listed will interchange.
The fairing minus the gauges will also interchange.
Even the engine minus the fuel system will interchange with some slight wiring modifications.

Advise given here is free and comes with no warranty "Caveat emptor"

I hope the 84 works out well for you Jerry. You have had a lot of work with the LTD, and put good money into it.
