Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience every time.

You have used these?
I thought the posts showed an alternator with a removable bracket as the ones w/o the removable bracket wouldn't fit?

The one I've seen used most looks like this one of the two:
http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...&ppt=C0330

I've seen it with single v pulley (I have that one) and with the 3 groove pulley. The other one will maybe work but I can't be sure.

This one is $20 cheaper after core charge, free shipping

I have used this one, but it does require cutting the third leg:

I do try the wreckers first though when ever I do another

I've used both. The first one on the original post kept blowing the regulator, and it doesn't charge until 1200 rpms and above.

The internal regulator is about 30 bucks plus shipping on line.

This time instead of fixing it, I went to the junk yard, for 20 bucks got the larger one (second one on the original post), pull it out of a 3 cylinder1991 Geo metro convertible.

It kicks in at 980 rpms or so, therefore even at idle, is charging fine. It spits out more juice, 'cuz running same accesories, with the same battery at the same rpms has a better voltage reading.

It fits with the same pulley, only differences are: a) the belt uses 3 out of the 4 groves on the pulley, but doesn't affect performance. b) the lower cowl needs a hair more adjustment.

Crystl pistol

You have one wire from the plug instead of the plug with three wires.
Where does your one wire lead to?
