I want to install a gear position indicator on my 1988 GL1500. I know that the sensor is there, according to the wiring schematic in the Honda workshop manual. So far I have acquired two moduals fron Hong Kong. The first one did not work so they have sent me a replacement, which I haven't tried yet because I'm trying to find out where thw white wire, (neutral) wire attaches. I'm guessing to the neutral light on the bike. So far they have not responded to my inquiries.

The second one is a smaller modualand came with no instructions as to where the seven wires attach to what or even what each wire is for.

Has anyone got any ideas or information, even information about how to find the wires that come from the on board sensor? I might try hit and miss connections with the second modual.

You need to post this on the Goldwing technical forum that is where all the goldwing GURU's hang out. That is where you will have your best chance at getting an answer.
