On my 1980 GL1100i I can see the openings of two rubber hoses on the bottom of the bike on the right side (throttle side). It looks as is oil is coming out of one of them. What are these hoses and why would oil be coming out of them?

One comes from gas cap, other is the air cleaner drain. Most likely air cleaner is full of oil from pcv dirty.

One is a vent I believe off the battery. The othe is a crankcase vent. follow the one leaking oil up and there should be a canister about the size of a pill bottle. remove and clean it.

They are all perfect

I believe one of them is for the radiator reservoir overflow and the other is a battery vent tube, The crankcase vent tube goes to the air box and then to the little overflow canister.

palm palm

Look up the forum about these canisters.
They are only on a few bikes from certain states and almost without fail owners that don't need them for emissions laws cut them off!

It's your call and your bike but read and decide.

Hey all,

I can't find this "pill bottler" sized canister. Do I need to take the metal off the side or the seat off to get to it? I just see the hose go up and disappear in there somewhere.

The crankcase breather storage bottle is on the left side of the engine , just in front of the swing arm pivot .
