HI Guys,

When I bought my "new to me" 2009 GL1800 last week I received 2 keys and 1 Fob... I asked about purchasing a spare Fob and nearly fell off the chair when they gave me the $70 price... Needless to say I passed on that purchase for the moment...

Is there a Generic Fob or perhaps another Honda car type Fob that will work??? Seems to me I read somewhere (either here or 1800 Riders) that a Civic Fob will work...

Can anyone conform or deny that???

Thanks,
Les

A CRV fob is supposed to work but it is going to cost a lot more. $70 is not bad.

$70 seems reasonable to me as well. You can always search eBay but I bet you won't save much.
