GL1200 coolant

I have a 85 LTD 1200 trike. I have always use Honda HP coolant. I just drain all the old coolant out of the trike. Is there any other and what kind I should get. The Honda HP coolant jump up to 8.21 plus tax a quart. I have heard others have use regular car coolant in their bikes with no problem. The trike has 151,000 miles on it and hasn't change the water pump except once. The HP pro coolant is good but it have gotten so high.

What ever you use it has to say no silicates.
Many use the Peak 150,000 antifreeze. There are others out there too.

Any brand of coolant is fine to use as long as it is marked "silicate free".

Stop by the local Honda car dealer and pick up a gallon of the same coolant for about $19.00.

I would suggest you stick with the Honda product. May I refer you to what happened to me when I chose to use an aftermarket silicate free coolant:
