I have a question.

Just specifically what does the acronym 'MIL' mean?

Find the side stand switch connector, the switch may still be attached and just turned to the "up" position or it may be jumpered between the green/white and green wires, either turn the switch until the side stand light comes on or remove the jumper and connect it between the green and yellow/black.

Thanks John, AZgl1500. Your link led me to find out what I needed to do to get the FI code that I could not get before.

Now that I know you must wait until the FI light goes on and then stop & put the side stand down without shutting the bike off to get the blinks. A couple of experts local "Experts" just started the bike on the side stand and waited for codes. Needless to say that did not get codes. So I followed the directions on the link and I get a code 25 just like wingman37333.

wingman could you PM me with the location of and directions to find the left Knock sensor.

Thanks in advance,
Larry

You will need to check for continuity/short to ground in the wire from the knock sensor to the ECM. Red/blue wire in the center of the grey connector. Code 25 on yours is the right knock sensor BTW.

Code 25 pre 04 is the right knock sensor, located on the bottom of the right head just inside the front exhaust port.
